Overview
Pragmatic is seeking an Interim Marketing Events Manager during a busy period of growth and event activity. This is a cross-functional role which will have responsibility for leading our corporate events, handling all planning details and effective execution of industry trade shows and events that help us meet and engage with our core audiences.
You will prioritise events to help us build a robust program that supports our thoughts leadership program and support our business goals. You will be responsible for negotiating participation (sponsorship, speakership, booth and branding) and associated budget, leading all elements of planning and preparation as well as delivery and evaluation to gauge, track and seek to improve value and impact.
You will use creative, innovative and novel approaches to underscore Pragmatic’s unique value proposition to drive and improve the company leadership positioning as a trusted best-in-class technology partner with superior innovative technology in our target markets – EU, NA, China, JP, KR.
The role will suit a driven, motivated person who relishes the opportunity to lead and manage our event activity, embracing creative & innovative approaches, to drive meaningful impact on business growth.
Key tasks
- Maintain a global events calendar, tracking and maintaining up-dates
- Support internal events, such as functional group all hands meetings/offsites
- Support a CXO and functional lead thought leadership program
- Full event responsibility: negotiating packages, all event planning, on-site execution and post event wrap ups, analysis and return on investment reporting
- Supporting all event activity:
- Speakerships
- Booth
- Demos
- Branding
- Sponsorship
- Collateral
- Media and Sales support - Ability to craft event plans with internal partners (leadership, sales, internal communications, product management etc.), as well as externally with key customers, partners and other ecosystem stakeholders
- Lead the metrics for event to support the business objectives and demonstrate performance
- Provide competitor analysis and displace competitor activity/technology through the event activity
- Apply the brand guidelines, usage and application
- Optimise brand exposure, application and amplification across 360 marketing efforts to improve event impact
- Budget management responsibility
Qualifications and training
- A degree in brand, marketing or a related field (or equivalent experience) would be desirable.
Skills and experience
- Growth mindset with a proactive, resilient and solution-based approach
- Expert events manager with a consistent track record of leading, building and curating B2B event strategy and delivery of operational programs in the tech sector
- Experience in semiconductor / RFID sectors would be advantageous
- Strategic approach with the ability and willingness to roll your sleeves up
- Passion to deliver best-in-class event activity
- Ambition to seek out creative and innovative brand approaches with a good understanding of the latest event trends
- Budget and reporting management experience
- Experience of handling agencies – event, brand, design – a plus: digital, web, social
- A self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work at pace
- Outstanding project management skills
