Overview
Pragmatic is a world leader in semiconductor innovation, revolutionising semiconductor fabrication with ultra-low-cost, flexible integrated circuit (FlexIC) technology that makes it quick and easy to embed intelligence almost anywhere. Our revolutionary technology uses thin-film semiconductors to create flexible integrated circuits that are thinner than a human hair, and are significantly cheaper and faster to produce than silicon chips. With rapid cycle times that substantially accelerate time to market, our foundry provides high-volume fabrication at a fraction of the cost of silicon, and with significantly lower environmental impact. Our vision is a world where everyone, everywhere will touch our technology throughout their everyday lives. We are a team of passionately innovative people designing and manufacturing products that solve a range of global problems encountered every day, with our core values truly embedded in all our business processes and decisions. Pragmatic is headquartered in Cambridge, UK, with our first fab operating in Sedgefield, and a second fab at our new 15-acre Pragmatic Park site in Durham.
We are actively seeking a passionate IC Validation engineer to join our team based in Cambridge. You will apply your expertise in designing and developing frameworks to enable validation of Pragmatic’s FlexICs & RFID tags. As part of the Test Development team, you will be expected to take designs through from specification to final product all the way collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. You are expected to be eager to learn, develop and adopt to new methods of automated validation frameworks.
Key Tasks
- Develop comprehensive validation plans in collaboration and in agreement with designers and application engineers. The candidate should be able to produce validation plan documents agreed and signed off by all stakeholders involved, whilst being mindful to identify validation items and drafting a test procedure for each item based on available resources and timelines.
- Develop automated validation platforms and execute tests to verify the functionality and performance of our products. This would include delivering reliable code and validation framework and successfully validating all test items within the committed timeline. The ability to act promptly in case of adversities if something fails and planning debug and test execution properly so as to avoid delays in final deliverables is something we are looking for.
- Report validation measurements in a timely manner and in agreement with the development schedule that would result in the successful execution as per the timeline, whilst collaborating with the right stakeholders to get the task executed. Evidence of prioritising critical items is sought by us.
- Produce & maintain technical documents covering validation procedure, setup and results in a comprehensive and presentable form to be reviewed and used by other teams. Review and sign off of the validation report after taking everyone’s input should be a main consideration.
- Maintain, develop and improve existing validation platforms. We’d want you to understand the existing setups well and be able to run tests using those setups or be able to adapt the existing setups for use in new projects, whilst at the same time look at improving existing platforms and implementing better and faster solutions
