EHS Engineer

Overview
- The role of the EHS Engineer is to assist the sustainment and improvement of our management systems and safe systems of work.
- Based at our Pragmatic Sedgefield or Durham sites, the role will be instrumental in driving our safety culture across all of our business processes and sites
Key tasks
- Assist with the implementation, sustainment and management of Health & Safety and Environmental processes & systems across all sites
- Maintain Management systems in line with ISO 9001/14001/45001 and other relevant standards
- Assist with problem solving and improvement opportunities as determined through data analysis, audits, incident reporting and related programs.
- Work with peers and colleagues within the business to improve EHS practices and processes
- Engage with external providers on EHS matters
- Develop and deliver necessary training to staff in the form of Toolbox talks & training programs
- Deliver robust and proactive reporting to investigative issues to reduce incident rates across the business
- Participate in EHS meetings and drive subsequent actions and projects
- Assist management in driving a positive EHS culture across our multiple sites
Qualifications and training
- Problem solving skills e.g Incident investigations, RCA, 8D, 5 WHY etc
- Auditing Skills - Qualified Auditor
- NEBOSH General Certificate
Skills and experience
- Experience in a similar role within a Manufacturing organisation (preferably semi-conductor/electronic fabrication) using modern manufacturing techniques
- Proven experience of driving a Safety culture & improvements through a multi site organization
- High level of competency with Microsoft Office
- Engaging and influencing stakeholders
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Allocation of work to ensure targets are met
- Strong administrative/organisational skills
- A proactive attitude and ability to act as a role model for Pragmatic values and work to the highest standards to ensure EHS criteria are always upheld.
- A resilient and flexible individual with a passion to develop and improve processes, themselves and the team through a strong work ethic, commitment and as a good team player.
