Overview

We have a new opportunity in our Logistics team (part of the wider Corporate Services function) at Pragmatic Semiconductor for a Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team! Based at our manfuacturing site in Durham and reporting to the Logistics Manager, this is a role that provides a key link between our Manufacturing and Logistics groups and ensures effective shipments.

You will primarily be responsible for packing and arranging shipments for leaving our site (both shipments to external customers and also internal shipments to other Pragmatic sites) as well as other tasks required such as physical transfers of wafers in test and assembly.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate high levels of organisation and attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset. While experience in a similar role would be beneficial, we welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate these attributes and approach.

This is a key role in a critical function for us as we continue our scale-up in to high volume manufacturing.

Key tasks

• Follow standard operating procedures to pack goods for shipment to external customers

• Follow standard operating procedures to pack goods for shipment to other Pragmatic sites

• Follow standard operating procedures to produce shipping documentation

• Liaise with company courier partners to arrange collection of shipments

• Maintain internal systems for tracking goods out

• Monitor stocks of packing materials and liaise with Procurement when more stock is required

• Be responsible for the safe and organised storage of all wafers post PCM test up to finished goods

• Transfer wafers as required for internal trials

• Provide absence cover for Goods In

Qualifications and training

We don't require formal qualifications for this position; much more important to us is your attitude and mindset.

Skills and experience

• Experience following standard operating procedures in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

• High levels of accuracy, with excellent attention to detail

• Experience of using systems effectively (e.g. to order material, to make shipping bookings, to locate material on the inventory management system etc)

• Experience of using systems e.g. to order material, to make shipping bookings, to locate material on the inventory management system

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines

• Excellent ability to collaborate and build relationships

• Experience of shipping documentation (advantage)

• Experience working in a cleanroom environment (advantage)
