Who we are: Pragmatic Semiconductor is revolutionising semiconductor fabrication with flexible integrated circuit (FlexIC) technology that makes it quick and easy to embed intelligence almost anywhere. Using thin-film transistor (TFT) technology in combination with conventional semiconductor processing equipment, Pragmatic FlexIC Foundry® service takes FlexICs from tape-out to delivery in around six weeks, enabling agile iterations, early end-user testing, and an accelerated time to market – at a fraction of the cost of silicon.
About the team: The RF Application Engineering Team translates application use-case and requirements into technical specifications and develops RF systems.
About the role: The Senior RF engineer is responsible for leading and coordinating development projects in relation to RF applications. The collaboration extends to including interactions with a number of internal stakeholders such as design, test development, and operations groups
Key Tasks
- Lead and deliver medium size projects
- Deliver, analyse and feed back results to the relevant stakeholders
- Write and sign off test scripts/plans
- Working in the lab you will design, develop and implement evaluation procedures for Inlay characterisation.
- Identify root causes and advocate potential solutions.
- Ensure completeness of documentation, propose improvements and best practice
Qualifications and training
- Degree or post-graduate in Microelectronics, Physics, Electronic or another relevant discipline; or equivalent experience
- PhD desirable, but not a pre-requisite
Essential Skills and experience
- Experience in leading development projects
- Hands on experience of RF Test Equipment : oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers, VNA etc
- interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- In depth knowledge RFID, RF mechanism and theories.
- Ability to solve technical problems with many different variables
- Samples of experience in remotely controlling instruments through scripting in Python, LabView or similar
- Experience in DC and AC electrical tests and associated data analysis statistical methods and tools.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and progress multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal within team and external facing
Desirable Skills and experience
- Previous experience on PCB design
- Experience in semiconductor microfabrication
- Project management experience
- Previous experience in antenna design
