Overview - What Will the Industrial Placement Involve? Pragmatic Semiconductor is delighted to offer an exciting opportunities starting from the summer of 2025, lasting 12 months. We welcome applications from talented, positive individuals to join us. This paid placement will provide excellent practical experience within a fast-paced, growing company. This internship will be based in Cambridge within our Technology Team, whereby you shall contribute towards the development of our automated test equipment and related systems.

We have a strong track record of hosting successful interns, with a high percentage subsequently joining us permanently after completing their studies. What Are We Looking For? A current student interested in the field of ATE Software Engineering.  You shall contribute towards the development of our automated test equipment and related systems.  The role will support projects aimed at major architectural developments to improve the capacity and capabilities of our production test system.  

Key Responsibilities

• To develop and maintain a real-time web app tool for production line data analysis and monitoring.
• To design and develop automation software, both front and back end.
• To collaborate with hardware and test engineers to integrate new test capabilities.
• To participate in debugging, troubleshooting and optimising ATE software.

What will you be studying now? Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master’s degree or PhD in Electronics Engineering, Physics, Computer Science with a  strong Python element. 
  
What would make you stand out from the crowd?   Experience in developing web applications in Python using Django/Fast API.  Experience with front end development, particularly Javascript. Exposure to version control systems (e.g. Git)
