Based within the Programme Management Office, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to work cross-functionally, supporting and delivering projects to design, install and commission new semiconductor fabrication lines in the Northeast! This position is based on site at Pragmatic Park in Durham!

We need an innovative and delivery focused individual, ideally with experience in semiconductor fabrication lines, either from an operational or a construction perspective.

Key Responsibilities

You will be expected to run the full life cycle of a project, including:

• Initiation – identify the user requirements, work with technical teams to develop initial concept solutions and produce a project brief.
• Definition – develop detailed requirements and specifications, produce plans for the project schedule, resources, communication, risk and quality and develop a robust business case to form the foundation of the project.
• Execution – work with key stakeholders to engage delivery partners, ensuring appropriate legal and contractual frameworks are in place at all times. Proactively lead the day-to-day work according to the schedule and ensure all outputs are delivered on time and are accurately documented.
• Monitoring & Control – use a range of techniques and reporting to ensure schedule, budgets, risk, quality, scope, changes, etc are under control and effectively communicated. Ongoing stakeholder engagement is key.
• Transfer – the project will close when the deliverables are effectively transferred into operational “business as usual” with all important success criteria met.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• A formal project qualification (APM – PMQ, MSP Practitioner, Prince2 Practitioner) alongside a degree in a technical subject.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of, and expertise in, core project management competencies, such as planning, risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement, project governance, team leadership, requirements gathering, etc.
• Experience in a similar senior project related role where you have managed large budgets and contracts with external suppliers.
• Knowledge of a formal PM development process and the strengths required for effective delivery.
• You will be proficient using IT systems at a sophisticated level, e.g. MS Office and Project, SharePoint, etc.

Desirable

• A formal construction accreditation (e.g. MRICS/ NEC contract management).
• Experience in semiconductor fabrication.
• Experience in the legal and regulatory environment surrounding fabrication lines and clean room construction, including CDM.
• Leading or administering NEC / JCT contracts for multiple on-site contractors.
• Experience of working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Knowledge of MRP / ERP systems (particularly IFS).
