Pragmatic is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Assistant; this is a new position reporting into and working closely with our Reward and Systems Manager. We are looking for individuals with a keen eye for detail, familiarity with Excel, HR systems and fast-growing businesses.
The Payroll & Benefits Assistant forms part of the People Operations team. The role holder is responsible for assisting with payroll processing duties and benefits administration to give all employees an accurate and high level of service. They will also support the wider People team with analytics and systems-based activities.
Key Tasks
- To work closely with the Reward and Systems Manager to run monthly payroll activity, coordinating with outsourced payroll provider to ensure an accurate and timely service.
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and employment law on payroll and benefits activities.
- Contribute to activities related to employee benefits and company pension scheme, ensuring employees are enrolled within specific timescales and have the information they need to engage with our benefits.
- To be the first point of contact for company benefits providers.
- Provide first line advice to employees on payroll queries and related policies and processes.
- To be an expert user of people related systems, maximising their potential. Finding opportunities for developments and improvements.
- Support the People team with a variety of projects, helping to provide outstanding People services to Pragmatic employees and supporting the timely delivery of projects.
- To ensure HRIS is up to date with accurate and timely data.
Qualifications & Training
- English & Maths Grade C/5 or above (Essential)
- CIPP Payroll Technician (Desirable)
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 1-2 Years experience in a payroll role, with a track record of successfully managing payroll related procedures
- Experience with HR systems and technology, including HRIS platforms
- Intermediate user of Excel
- Keen Eye for detail
Desirable
- Experience within a quickly growing organisation
- Working knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices
- Knowledge of HRIS HiBob
- Track record of successfully implementing new processes
