Layout Engineer

Overview

Pragmatic has a newly-created opportunity for an experienced Layout Engineer to join it’s rapidly-growing Technology function. Reporting to the SVP Technology, this role will be a key part of the IC Design & Test team.

Key tasks

  • Cell library development.
  • Developing Logic/IO and memory library from scratch based on latest technology and process updates.
  • Custom layout development.
  • Trial layout designs on new technologies and process.
  • Chip level layout floor planning and integration.
  • Design Review, Document and own the designs.
  • Develop Test structures for the process team for upcoming technology.
  • Layout size optimisation and scratch level layouts.
  • Understand the PDK and design requirements and create high quality layouts.

Qualifications and training

The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree / Postgraduate degree level, or possess equivalent experience.

Skills and experience

  • Experience in Layout implementation from scratch.
  • Well versed with industry standard design tools (such as Cadence virtuoso) and verification tools.
  • Familiar with DRC, LVS verification and tools.
  • Clear understanding on layout considerations, layout parasitics and their impact.
  • Skill programming knowledge would be an added benefit.
  • Knowledge on library development (IO/Logic/Memory).
  • Basic understanding on Analog and custom layouts.
