Shift Process Engineering Technician

Overview
- Pragmatic are looking for Process Engineering Technicians to join the Back End Operations team to be involved in day-to-day production support as well as supporting engineering activities across wafer prep and manual assembly.
- The successful candidates should have a background in semiconductors and/or microelectronics.
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to identify and highlight potential issues is a must.
- Reporting directly to the Back End Manager, this role has many opportunities to make immediate impacts across our many internal and external business streams.

Key tasks
- Be a point of contact for operators regarding day-to-day running of standard processing
- Basic troubleshooting of equipment to maximise uptime
- Provide technical assistance to the engineering team for continuous improvement and future proofing activities
- Support the development of new processes and introduction of new equipment
- Support training of personnel on tools and processes
- Monitoring of SPC/process controls
- Review and update SOPs, OCAPs & risk assessments
- Support with lab safety and management
Qualifications and training
- Minimum of HNC/HND in a related discipline and/or significant experience within a similar environment
- Knowledge of back-end semiconductor processing
- Experience of following OCAPs and trouble-shooting processing problems
- Experience of writing and reviewing SOPs
- Understanding of process controls
Skills and experience
- High level of aptitude in using Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Ability to follow either verbal or written instructions precisely.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be a self-starter capable of managing own activities as well as supporting team activities.
- Able to demonstrate quick learning of the operation of complex machinery.
