Applications Engineer

Overview

Pragmatic is looking for a highly motivated engineer to help inspire our customers about the possibilities of our unique low-cost FlexIC technology. Our vision is to be able to use our technology to solve global problems by enabling capabilities not possible with conventional electronics.

The Applications Engineer will be responsible for partnering with eco-system partners to develop compelling technical demonstrators of our RFID technology to global customers, proving the value in making everyday objects smart and connected.

The role would be suited to candidates with experience as an applications/software engineer who are able to partner with customers across various market sectors, to understand, demonstrate and prove technological capabilities at proof of concept, through to widespread adoption. 

Key tasks

  • Collaborate with eco-system partners to develop technical solution demonstrators
  • Technical lead for end customer proof of concepts and pilots
  • Provide pre-sales technical support to RFID inlay customers
  • A strong ability to solve technical problems with many different variables

Qualifications and training

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

Skills and experience

  • Ability to manage customer and partner relationships
  • Demonstrate practical knowledge in one or more programming languages such as C++, Java or Python
  • Understanding of RFID technologies – standards, inlays, readers
  • Embedded system-level development and assembly
  • 2 – 5 years ideally of industry experience as an Application Engineer or similar role
  • Understanding of standard web technologies and databases (HTML, JavaScript, SQL
