Overview
PragmatIC is recruiting a Graduate ATE Software Engineer to contribute towards the development of our automated wafer test systems.
The role will be responsible for supporting projects aimed at major architectural developments to improve the capacity and capabilities of our production test system.
Reporting to the ATE Software Manager, this role will engage directly with the operations and data teams to fully integrate our test system into our overall wafer manufacturing process and handle the transfer of measurement data from the factory to be analysed for process and quality control.
They will also work closely with the ATE Measurements and data teams to improve the test system throughput and software development lead times by qualifying new processes and instrumentation to speed up development and optimise our time-to-market metrics.
Key tasks
- Design and develop automation software.
- Work with suppliers and other team members to evaluate new test equipment.
- Analyse test data to identify stability issues and propose improvements.
Qualifications and training
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Software Engineering.
Skills and experience
- Experience in software development.
- Enthusiasm.
- A strong understanding of electronics and its core principles.
- An ability to solve technical problems with many different variables.
- Being able to work to tight deadlines and progress multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Examples of using Python, LabVIEW or similar, to remotely control instruments.
- Experience in developing web applications in Python using Django.
- Experience in using a statistical analysis tool such as Minitab, JMP or R.
- Source Code Control using Git or SVN.
- Familiarity with SQL databases and using scripting or software tools to access, manipulate and analyse data.
