Pragmatic has a new, excellent opportunity to join its legal team at an exciting time of growth for the company.

The Legal Counsel will be based in our Cambridge office, reporting to the Director of Legal, and will work on a range of contracts and legal matters. You will be a commercial solicitor with a strong interest in technology and intellectual property, but key to the role is the ability to take on a variety of work with enthusiasm, in a fluid and fast-paced environment. This is a newly created role that will be central to the success of Pragmatic’s small but growing legal team.

Key tasks

• The primary focus of the Legal Counsel will be drafting and negotiating NDAs, technology licence agreements, customer contracts, procurement contracts, collaboration agreements, and other forms of commercial contract.
• There will also be opportunities to assist with corporate, property, employment, and compliance matters.
• The Legal Counsel will also be able to assist with updating standard legal documentation and guidance materials, and with providing training to business colleagues on legal matters.

Qualifications and training

• Degree or post-graduate qualification in law and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales.

• Excellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to write clear, concise, and solutions-focused legal advice

• Proactive and keen to ‘get stuck in’!




This is an excellent position which will play a key role in our legal team. The successful candidate will likely have around 2-4 years’ post-qualification experience, but could have more or less. If the role is of interest to you, please get in touch!
