Overview
As part of significant and sustained growth, PragmatIC is seeking an exceptional Product Engineer to join its growing Operations in County Durham. The successful candidate will be responsible for product engineering activities at PragmatIC, including developing test plans for each design based on our foundry process standard cell library, IP Blocks and yield vehicle cores. This will include the review of device performance against design requirements, confirmation of test limits including any required guard banding and statistical analysis of parametric data to identify any yield and performance improvement opportunities. You will work closely with design, product engineering and test to meet product release timelines and resolve any technical problems.
Key tasks
- Responsible for providing the engineering support for a wide range of Digital, Analogue and mixed signal products through all phases from development to production release.
- Responsible for having close interaction with Product Test Engineering team and communicate technical product status to management
- Responsible for following up with manufacturing and test subcontractors/SAT houses to resolve all production issues.
- Responsible for working closely with test engineering team and production support team to drive debug activities, reliability qualification and yield enhancement
- Establishing with customers on product testing requirements and production release requirements
- Responsible for providing detailed status reports at each phase, test limit (guard band) generation, correlation and yield summary reports
- Responsible for supporting yield improvement, test time reduction and retest rate improvement for production ramp.
Qualifications and training
- Minimum degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Skills and experience
- Minimum 2 year of experience of Semiconductor Product Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferably have demonstrable experience in a product engineering role.
- Good understanding of wafer-fab processes and IC-testing.
- Strong programming/scripting skills (C/C++, Python)
- Excellent data analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of statistics and data analysis tools.
- Effective communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
